Add a Keyword

Company Admin

Let's go over the steps of adding a keyword from the Company Admin perspective.

From Dialpad.com, navigate to Admin Settings (the gear icon) and make sure “My Company” is selected from the drop-down menu in the upper-left corner.

  1. Scroll to the Dialpad Ai section
  2. In the Company Dictionary section, click Add Keyword
  3. Enter the details of your keyword and click Add Keyword 

From there, scroll down in the main pane to locate the Company Directory. 

Select Add a Keyword and enter the keyword, category, and pronunciation hint. Keyword categories include Company Name, Product/Feature Name, Competitor Name, Partner Name, Industry Terminology, Acronyms, Common Word/Phrase, and Jargon.

It may take 7-10 business days for a keyword to appear in transcripts.

Let's go over the steps of adding a keyword from the Users point of view. 

From Dialpad.com, navigate to Your Settings

  1. Scroll to the Dialpad Ai section
  2. In the Company Dictionary section, click Add Keyword
  3. Enter the details of your keyword and click Add Keyword

Suggested Usage

Keyword Formatting

Keywords should be formatted exactly as you want them to appear in your transcripts.

Consider this example: "Dialpad Meetings" should be written just like that, not as "Dialpad meeting," "dialpad meetings," or "DIALPAD MEETINGS."

  • Punctuation is allowed; example: "M&Ms"
  • Spacing is allowed; example: "Dialpad Pro"
  • Email addresses and URLs are not allowed.
  • Only English language words are allowed. 

Pronunciation Hints

Pronunciation hints assist to train our system to correctly identify keywords.

Here are some examples of pronunciation hints:

  • For Dialpad: "rhymes with Smile Pad"

Can I edit keywords?

No. To update a keyword you will need to delete and re-add it.

How can I find the status of my keyword submission?

Can I upload new keywords in bulk through a CSV or any other method?

No, each keyword will need to be entered in one at a time.

How many words can be included in the dictionary?

Dialpad does not limit the number of keywords in a company dictionary.
