Article Summary

Speech coaching displays suggestions during a call to remind users how to speak clearly. It will be active when a user speaks too quickly or speaks too much without allowing space for others in the conversation.

Let's take a look at how to use Real-time Assist Speech Coaching.
Who can use this feature

Contact Centers and Coaching Teams, in addition to individual users, can use speech coaching for calls.

Dialpad Ai is available to Dialpad customers on the Standard, Pro, and Enterprise plans.

*Ai is only available for offices in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Puerto Rico, and Spain.

Enable RTA speech coaching for a user

To use speech coaching, first, make sure that AI is enabled.

  1. From, navigate to Your Settings
  2. Scroll to Dialpad Ai
  3. Click the checkbox beside Turn on Ai for my calls
  4. Select the 'Show transcript when a call starts' checkbox

That's it! Speech coaching is now enabled. The next time you find yourself speaking a little bit too quickly (don't worry, we all do it!) you'll see a helpful warning telling you to slow down.

We do recommend you opt-in to auto-start Ai for your calls. It will ensure that Ai-based features work automatically without any additional action required.
