    Who can use this feature
    Company and office admins can add or remove user permissions. 

    Edit user permission requirements

    Before editing any user permissions, make sure that your users have done the following:

    1. Accepted their emailed Dialpad invites
    2. Logged into Dialpad at least once

    Once those steps are complete, you're ready to update their permissions. 

    Add another admin

    To give a user Admin permissions for an office, head to your Admin Settings from Dialpad.com 

    1. Navigate to Office Settings
    2. Select Users
    3. Select Options beside the desired user
    4. Select Admin
    5. Select Add admin privileges 

    Update user permissions

    To add or remove user permissions, head to your Admin Settings from Dialpad.com 

    1. Navigate to Office Settings
    2. Select Users
    3. Choose which user you'd like to update permissions
    4. Select Options beside their name

      There are 4 categories where you can add, edit, or remove user permissions.
    • Calling
      • Add Dialpad Meetings
      • Add fax line
      • Add desk phone
      • Add extension
      • Swap phone number
      • Configure Integrations
      • Manage phone numbers
    • Groups
      • View user's analytics
      • Make contact center Agent
      • Make department operator
    • Privileges
      • Give scorecard access (all contact centers)
      • Give scorecard access (all coaching teams)
      • Give scorecard access (contact center - office)
      • Give analytics access (access to Charting Data only and not the entire Calls List; must be Company Admin to grant)
      • Give proxy access
      • Enable international service
      • Give Global Contact Center Settings page access
    • Admin
      • Set retention policies
      • Add admin privileges (create another Office Admins)
      • Transfer user
      • Delete user
      • Edit email address

        To add, edit, or remove permissions, select the action from the drop-down menu, and your changes will be effective immediately. 

    Bulk user updates

    As your team grows, editing users one at a time becomes time-consuming. Specific actions can be done in bulk, which is especially useful after a round of promotions when you have many admin privileges to update. 

    The following actions can be completed in bulk:

    • Delete users
    • Add admin permissions
    • Remove admin permissions
    • Add analytics permission
    • Remove analytics permission

    To bulk update users, head to your Admin Settings from Dialpad.com 

    1. Navigate to Office Settings
    2. Select Users
    3. Check the box beside the user you'd like to update permissions
    4. Select one of the three quick-action icons
      1. Trashcan icon: Delete users
      2. Star icon: Add or remove admin permissions
      3. Trendline icon: Add or remove analytics permission
