Integrate your HRIS or time off calendar via iCal link

Dialpad WFM connects with over 50 different HRIS and calendar clients using iCal links.

An iCal link is a URL that allows one application to view and display calendar data from another application. iCal stands for iCalendar, a computer file format for storing calendar information.

By syncing your team's time off into the schedule, you can:

  • Get full visibility over your agent's time

  • Automatically plan around your agent's planned time off and absences.

  • Monitor shrinkage 

  • Create accurate timesheets for all your agent's time

How to find your iCal link

Your iCal link is specific to your HRIS or calendar client, so you’ll need to locate the unique iCal link associated with your particular system.

Once you've found your iCal link, copy and paste it into a document so you have it to hand for the next step.

Add your iCal to Dialpad WFM

To add your iCal to Dialpad WFM:

  1. Navigate to Settings

  2. Navigate to Integrations

  3. Select Time off

  4. Select + Connect calendar

  5. Enter the iCal link, and name the calendar

    1. If you've already added a calendar, select 'add another calendar', then enter your iCal link

  6. Select Connect

That’s it! Dialpad will start syncing your team's time off into the schedule.

iCal data is refreshed every 20 minutes.

Time off keywords

Use time off keywords to match and sync calendar events when adding or editing a calendar.

To add or edit time off keywords, navigate to Dialpad WFM settings.

  1. Select Time off

    1. Choose the calendar, or, select + Connect Calendar to add a new calendar

  2. Navigate to Keywords

    1. To add a keyword, enter the keyword in the text box

    2. To remove a keyword, select the x icon beside it

  3. Select Save

Notes

If you remove a keyword, any past or future events associated with it will be removed during the next calendar sync.

If you add a keyword, any matching past events will be added during the next sync.
