Create an API Key

Dialpad's APIs are easy to use and provide context-relevant information that enhances workflows.

Who can use this

You must be a Company Admin to create and access an API key. API keys can only be created by Dialpad Admins. Refer to our Pricing Page to see if you have access to this feature. If you have any questions about your plan, reach out to your Customer Success Manager or Dialpad Customer Care.

Create an API key

To create an API key, go to your Dialpad Admin Settings.

1. Select My Company

2. Select Authentication > API keys

3. Select Add key

4. Name the key and set the expiration terms

5. Select any Additional Scope

6. Select Save

7. Copy the key to your clipboard, you will not be able to access it again.

The new key will appear in the list of API keys.

Frequently asked questions

How can I see an API key after I created it?

Once created, the API key will be listed in the API Keys section of your Company Settings.
You can only view the key itself when it is created, so don’t forget to copy it right away.
