# Create an API Key

Dialpad's APIs are easy to use and provide context-relevant information that enhances workflows.

Let's look at how to create and access an API key and unlock the amazing capabilities of the Dialpad platform to build feature-rich applications.

> API keys can only be created by Dialpad customers on the [Pro and Enterprise plans](https://www.dialpad.com/pricing/)
> 
> You must be a Company Admin to create and access an API key.

## Create an API key

To create an API key, go to your **Dialpad Admin Settings.**

1. Select **My Company**
2. Select **Authentication > API keys**

4. Name the key and set the expiration terms
5. Select any **Additional Scopes** ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/0f28ad44-2863-4372-a27e-c6728808d742/Images/Documentation/api-details.png)
6. Select **Save**
7. Copy the key to your clipboard, you will not be able to access it again.

The new key will appear in the list of API keys.

## Frequently asked questions

### How can I see an API key after I created it?
