Let's take a look at what's new from our most recent release on July 15, 2025.

Improvements

Sleeker edge-to-edge design

Enjoy a cleaner, full-screen experience across key app screens like calls, login, search, and more. No more UI cutoffs, plus seamless screen rotation for an immersive view.

Improved in-app conversations

We’ve polished up in-app conversations, making calls simpler, replies smoother, and contacts easier to manage.

  • Calls & video made easy

Start calls or video meetings right from your conversation screen with new toolbar icons.

  • Smarter messaging

Enjoy smoother swipe-to-reply, clearer thread labels, and a redesigned composer with quick access to camera, gallery, emojis, and more.

  • Typing indicator

Now you’ll see a “typing…” banner in 1-on-1 chats so you know when the other person is mid-message.

  • Simplified contact controls

Quickly block unwanted contacts or add new ones with clearer, streamlined options.

Improved search & contact management

Contact management and search on the Dialpad Android app are now smarter and more helpful.

  • Clearer search results

Job titles, custom tags, and labels now display correctly in combined search, with cleaner quick results and more accurate channel filtering.

  • Faster & easier navigation

Enjoy quicker loading, result counts on every tab, and handy “View All” links for full results.

  • Caller ID update

Your profile picture now shows up properly on the new keypad screen.

Improved calling & keypad

We’ve made updates to make calling on your Android app smoother, smarter, and easier to manage.

  • Refreshed keypad

The keypad UI got a polish, more spacing, cleaner buttons, wider modals, and a handy drag handle for smoother use (especially on tablets).

  • Smarter caller ID

For Contact Center calls without a set DID, your Mainline DID now auto-selects as the default.

  • Cleaner caller options

No more duplicate “Block caller ID” option, your caller ID menu is now simpler and clearer.

Critical bug fixes

Department tab bug

Some users reported that the app crashed when opening the department tab. This has been fixed.
