Contact labels let users apply custom labels to personal and department contacts, organizing contacts and enhancing the ability to search for them.
Creating Contact Labels
To create a contact label, select the contact to view your conversation thread and their contact profile in the sidebar.
Click Add labels in the sidebar to create a custom label and enter the appropriate text to attach.
Removing Contact Labels
To remove a contact label, select the contact to view your conversation thread and their contact profile in the sidebar.
Click the X button on the right side of the custom label.
Search by Contact Label
To search for a specific contact label and its corresponding contacts, enter the contact label's name into Dialpad's search bar.

How many contact labels can I create per contact?
Contacts can feature up to 20 custom labels each.
Are contact labels shareable?
No, contact labels are created locally to each user and cannot be shared.
Is a contact label case-sensitive?
Contact labels are case-sensitive in creation only. "Dialpad," for example, is not the same as "dialpad." Yet using search for either of those two terms will return identical results.
