    Who does this apply to?
This update applies to all Dialpad Users. Please review the region-specific rollout dates below.

    What is changing and why?

Dialpad is rolling out additional security and performance improvements to ensure you have a safe and seamless communication experience.

As part of this initiative, the dialpad.com IP address will be changed as follows:

    Current IPNew IP

Do I have to do anything?

This depends on your security configuration.

Users with a standard setup should not be affected by this change.

Dialpad has not historically advised configuring firewalls to be restricted to the old IP address for dialpad.com — we are providing notice as a precaution — just in case you did configure your firewalls with this level of restriction.>

How can I see if I am affected?

Every network setup is different, Dialpad advises working with your IT team to ensure that the new IP address works across all networks that your employees use for Dialpad.

To test the new IP on a given system, your IT team may wish to modify the hosts file to add the following line. More details on modifying hosts files can be found here. dialpad.com

After modifying the hosts file, confirm that dialpad.com continues to load in a browser, and ensure the new IP is being used in the network tab of the browser’s developer tools.

This is only a temporary testing measure, and should be removed after testing.

If you are impacted, please work with your IT team to update the firewall configuration.

    When will this be released?

To reduce risk for our customers, Dialpad will be rolling out the IP change in four stages on a per-region basis.
