Dialpad makes starting a Google Meet effortless. With one-click access from the app, you can join your meeting without delay and move smoothly from your Dialpad conversation into Google Meet.

Who can use this

Dialpad’s Google Meet integration is available to Dialpad Support and Dialpad Sell customers, as well as Dialpad Connect users on a Pro or Enterprise plan.

Enable Google Meet integration

First things first, Google Meet needs to be enabled for your company.

To enable Google Meet, head to your Dialpad Admin Settings.

  1. Select My Company > Integrations

  2. Navigate to Google Meet > Options

  3. Select Enable

Now that you’ve enabled the integration for your company, you can choose which office you’d like to connect with Google Meet.

Note

Companies with only one Office can enable Google Meet from their Office Settings.

Start a Google Meet

When you start Google Meet, it creates a new meeting link and opens it in a new tab.

Let’s go over the different ways you can launch Google Meet.

From the Dialpad app

To launch Google Meet from the Dialpad app

  1. Select the Google Meet icon

  2. Invite participants

From the conversation view

To launch Google Meet from the conversation view

  1. Choose any contact in Dialpad

  2. Select the Google Meet icon

From the Hover cards

You can hover your mouse over a Dialpad user and launch Google Meet from the hover cards.

Join a Google Meet

You can join a Google Meet from Dialpad in two simple ways:

From the conversation view

Select Join Meeting in Dialpad, and a new Google Meet link will open in your browser. From there, you can connect to your meeting instantly.

From your Calendar

Select Join with Google Meet from your Google calendar and hop right into the meeting from there.

Note

The Join Meeting invitation card will stay visible even after the meeting has ended.

Disable Google Meet integration

To disable Google Meet, go to your Dialpad Admin Settings.

  1. Select My Company > Integrations

  2. Navigate to Google Meet > Options

  3. Select Disable
