Mobile Device Management for Dialpad Mobile Apps

Organizations can use mobile device management (MDM) tools to deploy and manage the Dialpad mobile app on work or personal devices. Dialpad’s mobile apps are available for iOS and Android.

Dialpad officially supports Microsoft Intune for mobile app management (MAM) on iOS and Android. Other MDM products may be used to distribute or manage apps, but Dialpad does not certify every vendor or policy configuration.

MDM and MAM: What’s the difference?

MDM helps an organization manage mobile devices. MAM applies an organization’s management and data protection policies to an app without necessarily managing the entire device.

The exact controls available depend on the management product, platform, and policies your organization configures.

Microsoft Intune support

Dialpad supports Microsoft Intune Mobile Application Management Conditional Access for the Dialpad mobile apps on iOS and Android. Your organization’s Intune administrator manages the deployment and configures any applicable app protection policies.

When you sign in to Dialpad on a managed device, you may see additional Microsoft sign-in or policy prompts. Follow the instructions from your organization’s administrator. The prompts and sign-in flow can vary depending on your organization’s identity and access policies.

For general Microsoft sign-in steps, see Logging into the Native App with SSO.

Before deploying Dialpad

Ask your IT or Intune administrator to:

  • Confirm that the Dialpad app is assigned to the users and devices that need it.
  • Configure and assign the app protection and identity policies required by your organization.
  • Confirm that your policies allow users to sign in to Dialpad on the intended mobile platforms.
  • Test the configuration with a small group of users before a wider rollout.

Use the latest Dialpad mobile app version. For supported operating systems, see Dialpad App Requirements.

Other MDM products and advanced configurations

Organizations use a range of MDM products to deploy mobile apps. Support for app-protection and sign-in behavior depends on the product and your organization’s configuration. Dialpad does not guarantee compatibility with every MDM product or policy combination.

Advanced configurations—such as Conditional Access, certificate-based access, or custom app-protection policies—may require additional validation. Contact your IT administrator to review the configuration. If you need help investigating a Dialpad issue, contact Dialpad Support and include the affected platform and any recent policy changes.

Troubleshoot mobile sign-in

If you can’t sign in to Dialpad on a managed device:

  • Confirm with your administrator that your account and device meet your organization’s access requirements.
  • Check that you’re using the latest version of the Dialpad app.
  • Review Mobile Apps FAQs for mobile sign-in troubleshooting.
  • For Microsoft sign-in issues, see Office 365 Login Issues.
