Dialpad’s integration with Front provides an in-app dialer, so you can make and receive phone calls and handle texts without leaving Front. View missed calls, call and SMS history with a contact, and more — right from your Front inbox.
How to enable the Dialpad integration
Like other integrations, you need to be a Front admin in order to set up the Dialpad integration.
In your Front app, go to Settings, then Integrations.
Find Dialpad on the list.
Turn the toggle on to enable the in-app dialer, then click Save.
You should now have access to Dialpad's in-app dialer in your integrations panel. Open the Dialpad plugin to make or receive calls and send or receive SMS texts through your Dialpad number. You can also view missed calls and call/SMS history with a specific Dialpad contact.

Using the Dialpad CTI in Front
Once your Front Admin has enabled the integration, you should see Dialpad in your integrations panel to the left. Click on the Dialpad logo to login to your account and start making calls directly from Front.
The Dialpad widget also houses general app settings that users will be familiar with using the desktop app. Those include:
- Profile settings
- Caller ID toggle
- DND toggle
- If applied, Custom Off Duty Status' for Call Center
- Call screen/search
Make a Call
To make a call using the Dialpad CTI in Front, navigate to the Dialpad logo in your integrations panel and either click on Make a Call to enter in the number you would like to call:
or search for a contact and click on the blue phone icon in your contact history with them:
When you receive a call, you will need to click into the Dialpad CTI to answer.
Send a Message
To send a message, click on the make a call drop-down and select Send a Message click into one of your contacts to pull up your contact history and send them a message.
Set yourself to DND
Leaving for the day? You can set yourself to Do Not Disturb in Front by navigating Dialpad in your side panel > Your Profile > Toggle DND on. You can also turn off DND by clicking on Disable.
I am our Dialpad Admin, can I create additional Dialpad accounts from the Dialpad <> Front App integration?
No, you will need to login to Dialpad.com and add users there.
Does the Front integration support logging Dialpad messages to Front?
No, only calls.
