Geographic Routing allows you to route inbound calls to different call centers based on the area or country code of the caller. e.g. You could use this to distribute calls received on a single phone number to different regional sales offices.
Configure GEO Routing
Once enabled by your team, Admins can navigate to Admin Settings > Geo. Routing and follow these steps:
1. Add a local or toll-free number for this Geographic Router
2. Add a routing rule to specify what area or country codes you want to route calls from, and to which Call Center you want those to go to.
See our example here, we’ve set calls from San Francisco to go to the West coast Call Center and calls from NYC go to the East coast call center.
3. Add a fallback rule, which is the Call Center where calls will be sent if the incoming phone number doesn’t match one of the rules.
