The VoiceAI Custom Dictionary feature enables you to add keywords to VoiceAI’s dictionary to ensure that those words are transcribed correctly.
Every organization has unique jargon - words not present in a standard English dictionary. For example, at Dialpad we have a product named “UberConference”, which is not a real English word. In order to transcribe “UberConference” correctly, that word must be added to VoiceAI’s dictionary.
Add a Keyword
Navigate to Admin Settings > My Company > Company Dictionary > Add Keyword
Navigate to Your Settings > VoiceAI Settings > Company Dictionary > Add a Keyword
Keywords should be formatted exactly as you want them to appear in your transcripts. For example: "UberConference" should be written just like that, not as "Uberconference", "uber conference", or "UBERCONFERENCE".
- Punctuation is allowed. Example: "M&Ms".
- Spacing is allowed. Example: "Dialpad Pro".
- Email addresses and URLs are not allowed.
- Only English language words are allowed.
Pronunciation hints help us train our system to correctly identify your keywords. The following are examples of good pronunciation hints:
- For Dialpad: "rhymes with Smile Pad"
- For UberConference: "oo-ber conference", or "uber like the app + conference"
Can I modify my keywords?
No. To update a keyword you will need to delete and re-add it.

Can I upload new words in bulk through a CSV or other method?
No, each keyword will need to be entered in one at a time.
How many words can be included in the dictionary?
There is no limit on the number of words that can be added.
