Sign a Data Processing Agreement (DPA)

  • Updated

To support our customers in complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we allow all company administrators to sign a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for their company. Let’s take a look at how to accept your DPA and assign a Data Protection Officer and EU representative for your company.

To get started, navigate to Dialpad.com > Admin Settings > Privacy & Legal

Here’s where you can accept your agreement for your company. If you have accepted previous amendments of the agreement they will show as logged within the system.

Representatives

In the Privacy & Legal section, you will also be able to assign representatives. To determine if you need a Data Protection Officer and/or EU Representative refer to the following definitions:

  • A data protection officer (DPO) is the person designated, where applicable, to facilitate
compliance with the provisions of the GDPR. The GDPR defines the criteria and the conditions under which a data protection officer must be designated.
  • An EU representative is the person designated, where applicable, to represent customers not established in the EU with regard to their obligations under the GDPR.

To add your representatives, select the Add EU Representative and/or Add Data Protection Officer buttons. This will walk you through the steps to add the representative's details.

These are editable at any time.
