To assign Operators to make and receive calls on your shared lines, Dialpad Admins can navigate to Admin Settings and either select their Main Line or Department to access Assigned Operators & Phones.
From here you can assign Operators to answer your line. You'll have the option to either add Operators (individual team members) or Phones (room phones) by selecting the option and searching for the team member or room phone by name.
You'll also have the option to make any assigned Operator a Department Admin by selecting this option from the drop-down menu.
Dialpad Tip: The max. ring time for a Dept. call is 30 seconds.
Agents are a part of Call Centers which are available on Pro and Enterprise plans.
To assign Agents to make and receive calls on your Call Center, Dialpad Admins just need to navigate to Admin Settings and select their Call Center to access Assigned Operators & Phones.
From here you can assign Agents to answer on your line. Keep in mind that an individual Agent can't be assigned to more than 30 Call Centers.
You'll also have the option to make any assigned Agent a Call Center Admin by selecting this option from the drop-down menu.
Confirm Connected Devices
To have calls ring Operator's/Agent's connected devices, make sure they each:
- Download the desktop and/or mobile apps to their devices
- Navigate to Dialpad.com > Your Settings > Devices
- Checks Ring This Device next to their desktop, desk phone, and/or forwarding number
