Dialpad lets you add local numbers to any Shared Line or user — toll-free numbers can only be added to a Shared Line.

Company and Office Admins can add local and toll-free numbers.
Add a Local Number
Shared Line
To add a shared line, head to your Admin Settings from Dialpad.com
- Select Departments
- Navigate to Department Info
- Select Add a Number
- Select Local from the drop-down menu
- Enter the number, then select Confirm/Purchase
Dialpad will use an available license if possible, or, you'll be asked to purchase an additional license designated for the local number.
Shared Lines and users can have up to 30 numbers (local or toll-free) each.
Team Member
To add a Team Member Number, head to your Admin Settings at Dialpad.com
- Navigate to Office Settings
- Select Users
- Choose the user, then select Options to access the drop-down menu
- Select Calling
- Select Manager Phone Numbers
- Click Add a Number.
- Enter the number, then select Confirm/Purchase
Dialpad will use an available license if possible, or you'll be asked to purchase an additional license designated for the local number.
Add a Toll-Free Number
Shared Line
To add a Toll-Free Number for a Shared Line, head to Dialpad.com and navigate to a Shared Line (in Admin Settings) and select Add a Number > Toll-Free.
Enter the number, then select Confirm/Purchase.
Dialpad will use an available license if possible, or you'll be asked to purchase an additional license designated for the toll-free number. Shared Lines and users can have up to 30 numbers (local or toll-free) each.
