Dialpad lets you add local numbers to any Shared Line or user, and toll-free numbers can only be added to a Shared Line.

Add a Local Number
Shared Line
To add a shared line, head to Dialpad.com and navigate to a Shared Line (in Admin Settings) and select Add a Number > Local.
Enter the number, then select Confirm/Purchase.
Dialpad will use an available license if possible, or, you'll be asked to purchase an additional license designated for the local number. Shared Lines and users can have up to 30 numbers (local or toll-free) each.
Team Member
To add a Team Member Number, head to Dialpad.com and navigate to Admin Settings > Office > Users.
Choose the user, then select Options > Calling > Manager Phone Numbers > Add a Number. Enter the number, then select Confirm/Purchase.
Dialpad will use an available license if possible, or you'll be asked to purchase an additional license designated for the local number.
Remove a Local Number
Removing a number is a piece of cake, and once you confirm the changes, your removed number will be placed in your Unassigned Numbers (also known as your Reserve Pool) for you to access later on, or to reassign elsewhere.
Don't forget — there is a fee for maintaining numbers in your Reserve Pool.
Shared Line
To remove a Shared line, head to Dialpad.com, and navigate to a Shared Line (in Admin Settings). Select Options > Remove alongside the local number.
Team Member
To remove a Team Member, head to Dialpad.com and navigate to Admin Settings > Office > Users.
Choose the user, then select Options > Calling > Manage Phone Numbers.
Select Options > Remove alongside the local number.
Add a Toll-Free Number
Shared Line
To add a Toll-Free Number for a Shared Line, head to Dialpad.com and navigate to a Shared Line (in Admin Settings) and select Add a Number > Toll-Free.
Enter the number, then select Confirm/Purchase.
Dialpad will use an available license if possible, or you'll be asked to purchase an additional license designated for the toll-free number. Shared Lines and users can have up to 30 numbers (local or toll-free) each.
Remove a Toll-Free Number
Shared Line
To remove a shared line, first head to Dialpad.com. Navigate to a Shared Line (in Admin Settings) and select Options > Remove alongside the toll-free number.
Add an Extension
Shared Line
From Dialpad.com, navigate to a Shared Line (in Admin Settings) and select Options > Add Extension alongside a number. You're only able to do this if the Shared Line has a number assigned to it first.
Enter a 5-digit extension, then select Save.

Change or Remove an Extension
Shared Line
From Dialpad.com, navigate to a Shared Line (in Admin Settings) and select Options > Edit Extension alongside a number.
Enter a different 5-digit extension and select Save, or select Remove Extension to remove it.
