Messaging in Dialpad is one of the easiest and quickest way to grab your team's attention. Let's take a look at how you receive your first message in Dialpad and how you can tweak your message notifications.
Receive a Message
When you receive a message, you'll see a notification next to the contact that messaged you in your Recent Contacts sidebar and under your Inbox.
Working outside of the app? You'll hear a notification ping and see a pop-up notification. Want to tweak those settings? Just navigate to your profile drop-down then App Settings to adjust your notification preferences.
Mute Group Messages
Group chats can be a great way to quickly collaborate with your team, but sometimes the extra noise can be a little distracting. That's why we give you the option to mute notifications for any of your group chats.
Your app's badge count and Recent Contacts sidebar will still update to show you the # of messages received.
Flag a Message
Need to come back to a message later? Now you can—just flag the individual message in your conversation thread to have it appear under Inbox > Flagged.
You'll be able to flag messages on your Android device as well.
