# iOS Release Notes 23.05.19

Dialpad's [iOS app](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/dialpad/id921879637) is designed to live at the center of your business communications, and we're always rolling out product updates containing new features, improvements and bug fixes.

We're currently on app version **4.17** — be sure to update your app to take advantage these latest features.

Let's take a look at what's new from our most recent release on ***May 19, 2023.***

## Improvements

### Unread tab on iOS

In order to improve consistency across all Dialpad platforms, we have [changed the label of the inbox tab](https://help.dialpad.com/v1/docs/en/use-the-ios-app#receive-a-message) New to Unread.

### Add a contact on iOS

We’ve set the default category to Mobile when [adding a new contact](https://help.dialpad.com/v1/docs/en/use-the-ios-app#add-a-new-contact), making it easier and more intuitive to organize your contacts from the start.

## Critical bug fix

### Send an MMS bug

Some users reported that [when sending large files](https://help.dialpad.com/v1/docs/en/use-the-ios-app#send-a-message), the message got stuck in a loading state.**This has been fixed!

## Other improvements

We've also fixed some minor bugs and behind-the-scenes functionality, improving your overall experience with Dialpad.
