It’s designed to reduce eye strain in low-light environments and give you the flexibility to choose between different color schemes depending on your needs. ## Who will this impact? Everyone! Whether you prefer working in low-light environments, want to reduce eye strain, or just want a fresh look, Dark Mode is perfect for all Dialpad users. ## What is changing and why? Currently, the Dialpad app is available only in Light Mode. And while we love the clean and familiar appearance of Dialpad in light mode, we love being able to give you options — that's where [**Dark Mode**](/v1/docs/dark-mode) comes in. Dark Mode is smooth and elegant, with soothing colors that not only reduce screen glare but also provide a more visually pleasing experience, especially in low-light conditions. We've made toggling between light and dark modes simple so that you can switch back and forth depending on your mood or external settings. If you just arrived at the office, maybe you feel on fire and you prefer Light mode to power through tasks and remain energized. Perhaps it's a sunny day, and you prefer to switch to Dark mode to let your eyes rest, or you're working late hours and prefer Dark mode to minimize eye strain. ## When will this be released?
