    Dialpad Ai in French is currently available for offices in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Spain.

    French Ai features

    The following Dialpad Ai features are available in French:

    Enable French Ai

    To use French AI features, you’ll first need to enable Dialpad Ai for your company. Once enabled, you can configure AI preferences for your Office, shared lines, and individual users.

    To turn on Dialpad Ai for your company, head to your Dialpad Admin Settings.

    1. Select My company

    2. Select Company Settings

    3. Toggle on Dialpad Ai

    Next, it’s time to set your AI language to French. This can be done at the office level, or individually for each shared line.

    Turn on French Ai for an Office

    To set your Office’s Ai language to French, head to you Dialpad Admin Settings.

    1. Navigate to Office

    2. Select Main Line

    3. Navigate to IVR, Voicemail and Ai Language

    4. Select French (either France or Canada)

    5. Select Save

    Turn on French Ai for Shared Line

    To set your shared line’s Ai language to French, head to your Dialpad Admin Settings.

    1. Select the Contact Center or Department

    2. Navigate to IVR, Voicemail, and Ai Language

    3. Select French (either France or Canada)

    4. Select Save

    That’s it! Once you set your Ai language to French, all calls with Ai enabled will be transcribed in French.

    Turn on French Ai for personal calls

    Users can also set their Ai language to French from their Dialpad Settings.

    1. Select Your Settings

    2. Navigate to Language

    3. Select Manage IVR, voicemail, and Ai language settings

    4. Select French (either France or Canada)

    Access French transcripts

    There are several places you’ll see French transcripts.

    French transcripts in a live call

    To view your French Ai transcription during an ongoing call, select the Ai button on your call bar.

    That’s it! You’ll see your real-time French transcript.

    French transcripts in meetings

    To view your French Ai transcription during a meeting, select Ai Notes.

    From the Ai Transcripts tab, you’ll see your real-time French transcript.

    French Ai Recap

    French Ai Recaps can be viewed from your meeting summary page, in-app inbox, and web call history.  

    Note

    French Action Items are not currently available.

    French Real Time Assist and Custom Moments

    Real-Time Assist (RTA) cards and Custom Moments help admins and supervisors track trigger words or phrases in French, letting them review the events after the call.

    To view French Custom Moments or RTA Card usage, head to your Dialpad Admin Portal.

    1. Select Call History

    2. Select the call

    3. Select Excerpts

    Note

    When searching for keywords in call summaries, analytics, or call history transcripts, only exact matches will be shown, and accents must be included for accurate results.

    If a keyword exists in both French and English, results from both languages may appear in the transcripts.

    Frequently asked questions

    Can I choose different Ai languages based on the contact I’m talking to?

    Not currently, but this functionality is coming soon, so stay tuned!

    Can I use French terms in my Company Dictionary?

    The Company Dictionary feature doesn’t support French yet. Stay tuned, though; it is coming soon!

    What happens if I take a call in English when the AI language is set to French?

    Our Ai models will attempt to transcribe the call in French, but it may result in a bizarre transcript. Recorded audio will not be affected.

    How can I improve Ai language accuracy?

    You can help us improve the accuracy by allowing us to use your data for model training! Please email [email protected] to opt in.

    I joined the EAP, when will I have access to all the features listed?

    You’ll get access to French transcription in 1-2 days. The other features will roll out over the next 1-2 weeks. If anything is still missing after 2 weeks from your request to join the EAP, please reach out to our Customer Support team.
