Dialpad Meeting's desktop app is designed to live at the center of your business communications — launch Dialpad Meetings to take advantage of our latest improvements. Let's take a look at what's new from our most recent release on **Sept 13, 2023.** You'll also discover some bug fixes to improve reliability. ## Improvement **** ******Mic and camera improvements |******We've shortened the delay for camera and mic activity when [joining a meeting.](/v1/docs/start-join-a-meeting)**** **Call recording announcement improvement****|******No one likes repetitive notifications. We've changed the ['this call is being recorded'](/v1/docs/record-a-meeting) message to only play at the time recording is initiated, not each time a new participant joins the meeting. **** ## Critical Bug Fix ******Host controls bug |******Some users reported that their icons to access the [Host Controls](/v1/docs/dialpad-meetings-control-basics) were not always uniform. This has been fixed. **Choppy audio in recordings |******A few users reported that the audio in their [meeting recording](https://help.dialpad.com/docs/record-a-meeting#record-a-meeting-via-phone-pstn) was a bit choppy. We've fixed this bug. **Profile icon bug |******A few users reported that the contact's profile would not open when they clicked the [User Profile icon.](https://help.dialpad.com/docs/social-profiles-for-meetings) We've fixed this. ## Other Improvements We've also fixed some minor bugs, improving your overall experience with Dialpad.
