# Call Transfers on Desk Phones

With your desk phone, you can easily transfer calls to other team members or department lines. You can transfer calls in two ways:

- Blind Transfer
- Warm Transfer

## Blind Transfer

You can transfer a call directly to another user or department line.

You can blind transfer calls on these desk phone models:

****Yealink T series models****

To blind transfer a call:

1. When the call is received, answer the call
2. Press **Transfer**
3. On the **Transfer** screen, enter the phone number or find it in the directory

> To find a contact in the directory, press **Directory** on the Transfer screen and search for the appropriate contact.
4. Press **B Transfer** The call transfers to the desired user and ends the call on your device.

****Poly VVX Obi series models****

To blind transfer a call:

1. Press the **Transfer** soft key
2. Enter the number you want to transfer the call to
3. Select the number or press **Dial**

****Poly UCS Edge E series models****

To blind transfer a call:

1. Press the **Transfer** soft key
2. Enter the number you want to transfer the call to and press **Send**

## Warm Transfer (Ask First, consultative)

You can transfer calls to another user or department line and inform/ask the other user or line operator before transferring the call to them.

You can warm transfer calls on these desk phone models:

****Yealink T series models****

To warm transfer a call:

1. When the call is received, answer the call
2. Press **Transfer**
3. On the **Transfer** screen, enter the phone number and press **Call**

> Alternatively, you can search through your phone directory or choose from the recent calls in your call history.
4. When the call is accepted, press **Transfer**. The call is transferred to the desired user.

****Poly VVX Obi series models****

To warm transfer a call:

1. While on an active call, press the **Hold** button or soft key

> 
> Alternatively, you can select the **More** > **Warm Transfer** soft key on an active call without pressing the **Hold** button.
2. Press the **Warm Transfer** soft key
3. Dial the extension or phone number of the party you wish to transfer the call to
4. Once they answer, explain the call and confirm they’re ready to receive it
5. Press the **Transfer** soft key again to complete the transfer

****Poly UCS Edge E series models****

To blind transfer a call:

1. Press the **Transfer** soft key
2. In the Transfer Call screen, press the **Consultative** soft key
3. Enter the number you want to transfer the call to and press **Transfer**

## Transfer a call to voicemail

You can transfer a call to voicemail on these desk phone models:

****Yealink T series models****

To transfer a call to voicemail:

1. When the call is received, answer the call
2. Place the call on **Hold**
3. Press **More** > **Trans to VM**
4. On the number pad screen, search for or enter the number and press **Call**

The call is transferred to the phone number’s voicemail inbox.

****Poly VVX Obi series models****

To transfer a call to voicemail:

1. Press the **More** soft key.
2. Select **VM Transfer**
3. Select the voicemail you want to transfer the call to then press **Transfer**
